St. Mary’s Pastoral Charge is a rural, three-point charge of The United Church of Canada. Our congregations are in Pictou and Guysborough counties in northeastern Nova Scotia, and include Bethany in East River St. Mary’s, Kirk Memorial in Glenelg, and St. John’s in Sherbrooke. We are a Christ-centered community that offers regular Sunday and special worship services, Bible study, youth group, Sunday school, choir, hymn sings, and many other opportunities for fellowship––frequently involving food! We support interdenominational faith sharing throughout the Municipality of the District of St. Mary’s. As a congregation, we actively seek to foster peace and justice for all of God’s creation through local, community-based outreach initiatives and by supporting the national and global work of The United Church of Canada’s Mission & Service Fund.
We welcome everyone!
